Microphone Issues
Microphone Not Working
Problem: Recording button doesn't work or no sound detected
Solutions:
- Check permissions - Allow microphone access in browser
- Check device - Make sure microphone isn't muted
- Try different browser - Chrome works best
- Check system settings - Verify mic permissions in OS settings
- Test mic - Use system tools to verify mic works
Browser Permission Denied
- Click the lock icon in address bar
- Find Microphone permission
- Select Allow
- Refresh the page
Audio Issues
Can't Hear Pronunciation
Problem: Speaker icon doesn't play sound
Solutions:
- Check volume - System and browser volume not muted
- Check device - Speakers/headphones connected
- Try different browser
- Check internet - TTS requires connection
Echo or Feedback
Use headphones to prevent the mic from picking up speaker output.
Speech Recognition Issues
Transcription Inaccurate
Problem: System doesn't recognize what you said correctly
Causes & Solutions:
- Background noise - Practice in quiet environment
- Speaking too fast/slow - Speak at moderate pace
- Poor pronunciation - Keep practicing!
- Microphone quality - Use better mic if possible
- Accent - System trained on standard French
"No speech detected"
- Speak louder and clearer
- Check mic is working
- Reduce background noise
- Hold mic closer (if external)
Login Issues
Can't Sign In
- Check email/password - Verify credentials
- Reset password - Use forgot password link
- Verify email - Check for verification email
- Clear cache - Try incognito/private mode
- Different browser - Test another browser
Email Not Received
- Check spam/junk folder
- Wait a few minutes
- Request new email
- Verify email address correct
- Check email provider isn't blocking
Performance Issues
App Slow or Laggy
- Close other tabs - Free up browser resources
- Clear cache - Remove old cached data
- Update browser - Use latest version
- Check internet - Verify good connection
- Restart browser
Page Won't Load
- Refresh the page (Ctrl+R / Cmd+R)
- Clear browser cache
- Check internet connection
- Try different network
- Disable browser extensions
PWA Installation Issues
Can't Install App
- Use supported browser - Chrome, Safari, Edge
- Check HTTPS - Must be secure connection
- Try different method - Different installation path
- Clear cache - Remove old service worker
- Update browser - Must be recent version
App Not Working Offline
- Load while online first - Cache content
- Check service worker - May need to reinstall
- Some features require internet - Recording needs connection
Known Limitations
- Speech recognition - Requires internet
- TTS audio - Requires internet
- Browser support - Works best in Chrome/Safari
- Microphone required - Can't practice without mic
